Review: Draw Any Animal by Robert Lambry

The Draw Any Animal Book: Over 150 Simple Step-by-Step Drawing Sequences for Every Kind of Creature
Draw Any Animal by Robert Lambry is what I think of as an old style 'learn to draw' book showing many animals from circle to finished product in a line drawing/cartoon style.    Each animal is shown in a number of different poses and each page of examples has a matching page for the user to try their own hand at drawing.   What I really liked in this book is that the finished animals were in fact do-able -- there was no big jump from mostly circle to drawing.  Additionally the number of different poses was a big plus.  On the downside, similar to other books of this type, there is no teaching on what to look for in trying to draw the animals in other poses.  As I restart my creative endeavours, I think it will be worthwhile to spend some time trying the different animals.
